How did Mike Dyck begin street sweeping?

Mike Dyck, the owner and operator of Sweepco Service, began his street sweeping career with a parking lot sweeper his brother Larry built for him. He had just finished studying at the University of Oregon and was also teaching at a junior high school at the time. After doing this for two years, he moved to California to assist Larry in marketing a new line of parking lot sweepers.
